I did not get the flu shot. I have only gotten it once in my life I think. I would say that I don’t normally get the flu very often, but I realize that that means I could still carry it. I know that a colleague once told me that the reason we no longer die from the common flu like people used to in the 1800′s is because enough people get vaccinated now that it has controlled the virus. Therefore, if everyone suddenly decided not to get it, it could become a much more serious virus like it used to be. I know this means that I should do my part and get it too, but I don’t like the idea of injecting something foreign into my body. I might consider getting it next year now though after thinking about this again. Thanks for the info, it was insightful!
