Things to do in London on Canada Day 2011 (#LdnOnt)
Happy 144th birthday Canada!
This is a perfect time to say that I’m super proud to be Canadian! I love this country!
If you’re looking for all the fun activities to do in the city today you’ve come to the right place.

FIREWORKS & CORNROAST
- When: Thursday, June 30 – 5pm, Fireworks at Midnight
- Where: Gibraltar Weekend Market, 1712 Dundas Street
- What: 20th Anniversary celebration with fireworks at midnight and Midnight Madness deals afterwards
- Cost: Varied. Proceeds go to Breast Cancer Society of Canada

CANADA DAY STREET PARTY
- When: 11am – 6pm
- Where: Dundas Street between Richmond & Clarence streets
- What: There will be free family activities, an outdoor cafe, music hall main stage, souvenir mini Canada Day flags for the first 3500 visitors, super-sized Canadian flag cake (while supplies last) and busker stations
- Cost: Free

CANADA DAY DINNER & FIREWORKS
- When: Cocktails 7:00 pm Dinner 8:00 pm
- Where: Eldon House
- What: An elegant, outdoor buffet dinner, live music by the Ken Varley Trio, a Made-in-Canada silent auction and exclusive seating for the Canada Day Fireworks over the Thames River
- Cost: $60 for adults and $30 for children

SOUTH LONDON CANADA DAY
- When: 2pm – 10pm Fireworks at 10 pm
- Where: White Oaks Park, 1119 Jalna Blvd.
- What: Food vendors, wading pool with lifeguards, cake cutting ceremony, family movie, inflatable rides, live music, children’s activities and fireworks
- Cost: Free

CANADA DAY AT BYRON OPTIMIST
- When: Gate open at 6:00 pm – Fireworks at dusk
- Where: Byron Optimist Park (Boler Rd.)
- What: Face painting, music, cake and more
- Cost: $5 for parking, donations accepted upon entry

CANADA DAY GARDEN PARTY
- When: 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Where: Eldon House – 481 Ridout Street North
- What: Take part in puppet performances, musical entertainment, outdoor games and activities, and tours of the historic home

LONDON CELEBRATES CANADA
- When: 12:00 pm to 10:30 pm – Fireworks at 10:00 pm
- Where: Harris Park
- What: First Nations gathering, opening ceremonies, Miss Teen London, stage performances and fireworks
- Cost: Free

LONDON MAJORS CANADA DAY FIREWORKS GAME
- When: Game time is 5:30 pm – Fireworks after the game
- Where: Labatt Park – 25 Wilson Ave
- What: Support Our Troops Red Friday: wear red, watch baseball and enjoy fireworks after the game
- Cost: Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $6 for kids under 12

DOMINION DAY
- When: Events start at 11:00 am, vintage baseball game starts at 1:00 pm
- Where: Fanshawe Pioneer Village, 1424 Clarke Road
- What: Historical debates, patriotic speeches, vintage baseball, chicken & ribs at the Pioneer Village cafe
- Cost: $7.00 per person. Children under 3 are free

HYDE PARK COMMUNITY 1ST ANNUAL CANADA DAY CELEBRATION
- When: Saturday, July 2, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm, fireworks at 10:00 pm
- Where: West Park Church, 955 Gainsborough Rd. (east of Hyde Park Rd.)
- What: Games and classic car show, BBQ, live music, candy floss and snow cones
- Cost: Wristband – $2.00 (for kid’s activities), Individual food ticket – $1.00 (all food items are purchased with food tickets), Family Pack – $15.00 gets 3 Wristbands and 15 food tickets
