2011 Kids Expo
It’s June and while that can mean a lot of different things to different people, to me and my family and most Londoners, it means festival season has arrived at Victoria Park.
Seriously, we live for this time of year. The winter is okay in the city, there’s skating at Victoria Park and lots of good tobogganing hills nearby, but it’s the summer festivals that make living in the city such a fantastic thing.
This weekend marks the first official festival at Victoria Park and it’s the most exciting festival for young children; it’s the 16th Annual Kids Expo!
From June 17 to 19, there will be over 100 fun exhibits, rides and shows to entertain the whole family. Free activities like bowling, arts and crafts in the Crayola Tent and mini golf ensure that you can have a fun and inexpensive weekend with your kids.
Carnival rides like the fun house and train ride cost extra but you can buy a $15 All Day Ride Bracelet and parents can ride for free. There will also be an entertaining game show performance that kids can participate in as contestants. You just need to register your child a half hour before show time.
The weather looks unpredictable at this point but it’s still early so keep your fingers crossed for some sunshine and warmer temperatures on this fun festival weekend.
And a big shout out to all the dads out there. Here’s to a very happy Father’s Day and what a great way to spend your weekend with the kids.
