More Baby Brains: Discover more about your child’s development
I am so happy to share more Baby Brains seminar information with London readers.
Baby Brains are free, informational sessions presented by Montessori House of Children. Baby Brains topics cover a wide range of child and baby related topics including independence in children, discipline, nutrition and more.
These invaluable sessions are taking place at the Children’s Museum. Even better news is that the Children’s Museum is generously covering the admission cost and offering a six month free family membership. This offer is valid for first-time guests who register for one or more of the Baby Brains sessions.
The Baby Brains sessions provide the opportunity for young families to discover more about their child’s development and to introduce them to the wonderful environment offered by the Children’s Museum.

Nutrition – Getting Toddlers to Eat – It’s more than just food!
Date: April 10 and April 17, 2012*
Time: 9:30am – 10:30 am
Does your child have a well-balanced diet? How much do they eat? How much do you want them to eat? Is your child a picky eater? Are you a member of the “clean plate club”? Do you have more questions about feeding your child?
Goal: To offer parents of younger children an opportunity to participate in an informal, informative and interactive session to join in discussion and activities to support their families developing healthy eating habits.
Culture – It’s a big world!
Date: May 8 and May 29, 2012*
Time: 9:30am – 10:30 am
How does your child learn about the world they live in? Why is music important in children’s development? How can you support your child’s creativity? What kinds of toys promote awareness of different cultures? Why does culture matter?
Goal: To offer parents of younger children an informal, informative and interactive session on the importance of supporting an increased awareness of cultural diversity and activities.
The following Baby Brains session will be held at a different location.
Discipline: Time In – not Time out!
Location: Montessori House of Children Toddler Building. 718 Waterloo Street. London.
When: June 12, 2012
Time: 7:30 pm – Adult only event
What is age appropriate discipline? Do you listen to what your child is saying? Do you demand or negotiate with your child? Does your child have temper tantrums? Is it important that both parents agree about how to discipline their child? What are the most common mistakes families make when attempting to discipline children?
Goal: To offer parents of younger children an informal, informative and interactive discussion on ways to nurture a sense of security and harmony at home, and promote your child’s sense of self-discipline.
