Celebrate at Mandarin {#LoveMandarinBuffet}

 Mandarin Buffet

This weekend we celebrated my husband’s birthday at Mandarin  in London. Not only was this a fun birthday celebration but it was also my daughter’s first time visiting a restaurant like Mandarin.

We chose Mandarin to celebrate because it has something for everyone. From sushi to curry to prime rib, there was something that appealed to us all.

SERVICE LIKE NO OTHER

Yes, I was visiting Mandarin to do a review, but none of the employees knew that (except the manager) during our visit, so we did not receive any type of ‘special’ treatment.  From the moment we entered to the moment we left, we were treated with exceptional service. We were welcomed with a warm and friendly greeting and then escorted to our seats. And the rest of our dining experience followed suit.

We of course made many trips to and from the buffet and each time we passed by a member of the staff they greeted us and wished us enjoyment on our meal. Our server was attentive which you sometimes don’t see at a self-serve type of restaurants.

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

It’s true that my daughter can be on the pickier side when making her food choices. I was a little worried before our visit that she wouldn’t find something she liked, but my worry was for nothing. She chose chicken balls, onion rings and carrots as her main course and she enjoyed a fresh piece of raisin loaf as a starter. And is there even any point in discussing dessert? Have you seen Mandarin’s dessert tables and Ice Cream Bar? Let’s just say we had no problem getting her to choose her dessert items.

My husband and I have less choosy pallets so we were able to enjoy many items from the plethora of choices. Some of my favourites were the lemon chicken, sushi, chicken curry and the prime rib. And again the dessert was a big hit with me too. I admit that I had two sugar puffs and one Nanaimo Bar and I had to work hard at stopping myself there.

CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAYS AT MANDARIN

It’s fitting to be sharing my experience at the Mandarin with you at this time of year because Mandarin has a great holiday celebration lined up.

From December 5th to January 1st you can enjoy Mandarin’s holiday features like glazed ham, turkey stuffing and Lobster Thermidor. And the Mandarin is even open on Christmas day!

The Mandarin is a great choice for any type of celebration or for no reason at all! It’s a large restaurant with lots of group seating options available as well as smaller group seating. If you haven’t visited Mandarin yet I highly recommend you try it out. And if you have visited before than you know just what I’m talking about!

Although this post has generously been sponsored by Mandarin, the opinions and language are all my own.
