What Does Having it All Mean to You? Share & You Could Win!

Food Basics I Want it All Contest

What does “having it all” mean to me?

Ten years ago, my answer would have been very different than it is today. Back then I think I would have answered something along the lines of a marriage, a family, a big house, a fancy car, a prestigious career, extravagant vacations, and a wardrobe that would make J-Lo jealous.
Not that there is anything wrong with that answer but as I’ve matured and gained more wisdom and become a mom, my answer is very different than the one I just made up.

Today my answer to the question, “what does having it all mean to me?” is pretty simple…having it all means that my family and I have our health and happiness and the general necessities in life like a roof over our head, clean water, access to healthy foods that are readily available, education, the ability to participate in our community, opportunities for physical fitness, access to healthcare and so on; anything else is gravy! Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy gravy, but for me I don’t need it to feel like I have it all.

Have it All

I believe that when my daughter looks back on her childhood, she is not going to wish that we had a bigger house, a fancier car or more “things”. The memories that fill her story will be that of the simplest things like laughter, unconditional love, special milestones, her friendships, her teachers, her extended family, family vacations (regardless of their location and star rating associated) and the fact that we were there for her through it all.

Having it all means different things to different people and there is no right or wrong answer. We are all driven by different things and it takes such a variety of personalities to make our world what it is.

Today Food Basics is asking you to answer the question “If you won free groceries for a an entire year, what would you do with the savings?” and you could win $1,000 worth of groceries.

It’s really easy to enter…just follow these simple steps at foodbasics.ca/videocontest and to learn about the contest rules. Contest runs from May 19, 2016 to June 29, 2016.

Food Basics Contest

And guess what?! It gets better…visit a Food Basics store starting on June 2nd, 2016 for your chance to win 1 of 3 grand prizes of groceries for a year ($10,000 in Food Basics Gift Cards)!

That’s almost $200 extra in your pocket each week! When speaking of having it all – how would that extra cash help you achieve your dream of having it all?

For me I think that I would use the savings to go towards my “gravy” like saving it up to take an extra vacation or to treat Little S to some new adventures and/or splurge a little and have some fancy date nights with my husband…the possibilities are endless.

Don’t forget to visit foodbasics.ca/videocontest to enter. Have fun and good luck!
