One of the things that attracted me most to our condo when we were searching was the kitchen. I have to say that it’s pretty darn close to my dream kitchen as it is, but nothing is perfect and a girl loves to dream.

What I love about my kitchen is the openness; from my sink I can see the TV in the living room, the entrance to Little S’ room, the entrance to our room and thank to strategically placed mirrors, our front door. When I’m in my kitchen, I have eyes on our whole home.

I love the amount of counter space that we have and I’m never hard pressed to make room for appliances, bowls, etc. when cooking. I love that we have a place to put bar stools so people can gather around while someone is working.

But, as mentioned, I do love to dream! So much so that I even created a My Future Kitchen board on Pinterest. If ever there is a kitchen makeover in my future, these pins showcase some of my favs.

  • Kidney Beans (1 cup) – 16 grams
  • Brown Rice (1 cup) – 4 grams
  • Spinach (1 cup) – 4 grams

The list goes on and on, but with our busy lifestyles and calorie-conscious diets, it’s easy to see why people aren’t getting enough; we either have to eat too much of one type of food, or spend too long in the kitchen preparing enough.
