Disney on Ice: ‘Follow Your Heart’ has made its Canadian debut right here in #LdnOnt

Disney on Ice Follow Your Heart

I was lucky enough to attend an opening show of Disney on Ice, again, for the second year in a row!  Last year I attended with my daughter who was in awe of all of the beautiful Disney princesses. This year, my husband and my two-year-old son were able to come along with us! I wasn’t sure if the content would be enough to hold my son’s limited attention span for the duration, but with the added feature of Pixar’s Finding Dory, which kicks off the second half of the show, my son was as gripped as my daughter was the entire time!

Disney on Ice Follow Your Heart

Disney on Ice Follow Your Heart

This is an all-new Disney on Ice show and will only be playing in three Canadian cities: London, Montreal and Toronto.

The show kicks off with the characters from Pixar’s Inside Out; Riley and her Emotions: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, as they lead us through the show by helping Riley to work through her emotions of growing up and finding her confidence to win the hockey championship!

Disney on Ice Follow Your Heart

Every Disney princess makes an appearance and as they skate out, they mention the virtues that each princess possesses like bravery, kindness and perseverance. I thought this was a great message to deliver to kids and complimented the Inside Out story line of emotions as well. There were also some amazing aerial acrobatics displayed by Rapunzel and Ariel. My husband and I were both really amazed, as well as the kids!

Disney on Ice Follow Your Heart

My daughter was loving every moment of the show but was even more thrilled when she saw the wintry-world of Frozen come alive! Snow fell from the sky and Elsa, Anna, Olaf and Kristoff skated around Arendelle to help show that love is the most powerful magic of all! Even my husband and I were singing along to all of the songs!

Disney on Ice Follow Your Heart

And what would a Disney on Ice show be without seeing Mickey and the gang? The characters from Toy Story come together to celebrate friendship as well.

Disney on Ice Follow Your Heart

You can “Follow Your Heart” and attend the remaining London shows this weekend:

  • Friday, March 3 –  7pm
  • Saturday, March 4 – 11am & 3pm
  • Sunday, March 5 – 1pm & 5pm

I definitely recommend it!  It was a fabulous show.  My kids had a great time and my husband and I had fun as well; we all made lasting memories together.

Tickets for Disney On Ice presents Follow Your Heart start at $20.

Your seats will be reserved and tickets are available at budweisergardens.com, disneyonice.ca, at the Budweiser Gardens Box Office, or by calling 1-866-455-2849.
