Disney On Ice

Disney on Ice: ‘Follow Your Heart’ has made its Canadian debut right here in #LdnOnt

Disney on Ice Follow Your Heart

I was lucky enough to attend an opening show of Disney on Ice, again, for the second year in a row!  Last year I attended with my daughter who was in awe of all of the beautiful Disney princesses. This year, my husband and my two-year-old son were able to come along with us! I wasn’t sure if the content would be enough to hold my son’s limited attention span for the duration, but with the added feature of Pixar’s Finding Dory, which kicks off the second half of the show, my son was as gripped as my daughter was the entire time!

Disney on Ice Follow Your Heart

This is an all-new Disney on Ice show and will only be playing in three Canadian cities: London, Montreal and Toronto.

The show kicks off with the characters from Pixar’s Inside Out; Riley and her Emotions: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, as they lead us through the show by helping Riley to work through her emotions of growing up and finding her confidence to win the hockey championship!

Every Disney princess makes an appearance and as they skate out, they mention the virtues that each princess possesses like bravery, kindness and perseverance. I thought this was a great message to deliver to kids and complimented the Inside Out story line of emotions as well. There were also some amazing aerial acrobatics displayed by Rapunzel and Ariel. My husband and I were both really amazed, as well as the kids!

My daughter was loving every moment of the show but was even more thrilled when she saw the wintry-world of Frozen come alive! Snow fell from the sky and Elsa, Anna, Olaf and Kristoff skated around Arendelle to help show that love is the most powerful magic of all! Even my husband and I were singing along to all of the songs!

And what would a Disney on Ice show be without seeing Mickey and the gang? The characters from Toy Story come together to celebrate friendship as well.

Disney On Ice: Dare To Dream! Is coming to Budweiser Gardens {#Giveaway}

Disney on Ice Dare to Dream London

…Thursday March 10th, 2016 to Sunday March 13th, 2016 and I couldn’t be more excited!

The Disney On Ice franchise has been around for decades and each year they manage to outdo themselves. I remember my parents taking me to see Disney on Ice when I was a little girl. I still remember that magical feeling of excitement getting to see the Disney characters up close and personal, and getting to see them skating on ice was just the cherry on top!

I can’t believe that it is now my turn to create these magical memories with my daughter! I will be taking her to the opening show at 7:00 p.m. and I think I may just be even more excited than she is!

This year’s show features world-class skaters and electrifying moments from the animated films:

  • Tangled
  • Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
  • Cinderella
  • Princess and the Frog

My daughter is three and of course, obsessed with princesses; I can’t wait for this year’s performance because I’ve heard that there is a spectacular finale where all the favourite princesses take to the ice and create the Ultimate Disney Princess Event of a lifetime!

The show celebrates 75 years of Disney Princess stories including two of the more modern princesses, Rapunzel and Tiana, as well as the classics that started it all: Cinderella and Snow White. It is sure to be a hit with my family and I look forward to sharing our experience in March after the show.

Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove Review

What do Mickey Mouse, Aladdin, Peter Pan, Snow White, The Mad Hatter and Tinkerbell all have in common? If you guessed that they’re all loved Disney characters you’re right, but they’re also the stars of the latest Disney On Ice cast.

Little S and I, along with my two nephews, attended Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove last night at the JLC in London. It was a fantastic performance that all four of us loved from the ages of 4 to 30-something.

Right from the start with the Disney warm-up clan to the ending featuring all the Disney princesses and other favourite Disney characters, we were captivated! The show is very interactive with getting you of your seat and on your feet. Fireworks, giant crocodiles and classic tales are all a part of this fun family friendly event.

There are still four great performances available for viewing at the John Labatt Centre in London:

  • Saturday February 25th 3pm, 7pm
  • Sunday February 26th 12pm, 4pm

Tickets for Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove are available at John Labatt Centre Box Office, John Labatt Centre Outlets, Online or by calling 1-866-455-2849. Ticket Prices are $60 (Front Row), $50 (Rink side), $40 (VIP), $30, $20, and $15.
